1/7/2010 Top  Times Report:  see "Swimmer Info" tab above or "Swimmer Times" tab to the right.   For those unfamiliar with the report, it shows your swimmer's best time in each event they have swum since September of 2009.  This should help guide you with which events and meets you want your swimmer to participate in during the up-coming championship season.


Indianapolis-Circle City Meet Room Reservations - Hampton Inn Downtown

Your FFYS (Farmington Family YMCA Stingrays Swim Club) group block is now open for reservations. The room type is double at $106/night. In addition there is a $14/night parking fee. Reservations may be made by calling the hotel directly at 317/261-1200; or guests may call our central reservations department, toll free, at 1-800-HAMPTON. You may also book online by following these easy steps:

1.  Visit www.hamptondt.com

2.  Choose the ìreservationsî option on the left hand side of screen and choose the link ìClick here to make reservationsî

3.  This will open the reservations screen where the guest may choose the dates they wish to book. Before continuing on to the next screen they will want to enter their group code, which is FFY. Enter reservation dates and group code and click ìContinueî.

4.  This will take them to the screen where they can choose the room type they wish to reserve. Choose a room type and click ìContinueî.

5.  Enter billing information and click ìBook Nowî.

6. A confirmation email will be sent once the reservation is complete.

Reservations must be made no later than 01/11/2010 to guarantee rate and availability.

Flint Fall Classic 2009 Meet Info

Hello FFYS swimmers and families entered in the October 31 Flint meet,
Please read the below message from the meet director.  Please email the FFYSMEET@YAHOO.COM address if you wish to WITHDRAW your entry from the rescheduled meet by Monday, Nov. 9 at 8:00 pm.  A new entry will be submitted on the 10th which will include all of our original entries unless you specifically tell me in your email that you want to withdraw.

Subject: Falcon Fall Classic - Reschedule - November 14th

We apologize for any inconvenience the canceling of the Falcon Fall Classic may have caused anyone. Power was not restored to the school until Sunday evening.

The meet has been rescheduled for November 14th at the Grand Blanc High School. Times and events will stay the same.

If your team wants to back out of this meet, let me know and I'll mail your check back to you and your team will be removed.

If any of your swimmers want to withdraw from the meet, let me know by Tuesday, November 10th, and we will cut one check for your team for any swimmer withdraws.

If you have any additional swimmers that would like to participate, let me know by Tuesday, November 10th.

Otherwise, we will move forward with the current entries.

Again, we apologize for any inconvenience.

FFYS 2009 Invitational Meet Info

Below is the FFYS Holiday Invitational swim meet information. Practice Changes

Attention all FFYS Parents and Swimmers:

Unfortunately, we have lost a member of our coaching staff effective immediately. Coach John has decided to pursue other opportunities and the sudden shortage of coaches has forced us to switch things up a little bit in terms of practice times and locations. It is my hope that I will have a replacement coach in as quickly as possible and we will go back to the previous schedule as soon as we can. In the meantime, please follow the new practice schedule for the next month.

FFYS 2009 Hayride

FFYS Swim Families

Please see the attached invitation for the 2009 FFYS Hayride.  This is a great social events for all the swimmers and it will give your swimmers a chance to meet swimmers that are not in their practice groups.  Please note - there is NO swim practice that evening.

BBD 2009 Meet Info

Below is the BBD Fall Festival and Sunday Fun swim meets information. These meets will be held October 24 & 25, 2009.  We would like to see as many FFYS swimmers as possible attend these meets.  They are a great introduction to YMCA swim meets for new swimmers.  Participation in these meets counts towards the 3 meet minimum required for participation in the YMCA championship season meets.  Entries for both meets are due to FFYSMEET@YAHOO.COM Friday, October 2, by 8:00 pm.

Spooky Splash Location Change

I would like to inform you that we have moved our Spooky Splash to Allen Park High School, located at 18401 Champaign Rd. in Allen Park, MI 48101.

This 6 lane pool is 9ft 6in at the start end and 4ft at the turn end.  Permanent starting blocks and non-turbulent lane markers are in place. The electronic timing system is a Daktronic Timing system with touch pads.  The scoreboard has a 6 lane alpha numeric read out.  There is bleacher seating for spectators.  Lockers are available (bring your own lock). The 25 yard events will be swim from the blocks.  Public phone will be available.  The competition course has not been certified in accordance with 104.2.2c(4).

To enter the building you may park in the small front lot, or take the driveway at the East end of the school and drive to the parking lot behind the school.  Please enter through door number 13 and follow the signs to the pool.
