LC 2009 State Meet Info
Below is the meet information for the Long Course State meet. Entries are due for this meet on Friday, July 17 by 8:00 pm to the FFYSMEET@YAHOO.COM email address. Swimmers must have achieved qualifying times listed in the back of the meet packet in order to swim at this meet.

Practice July 3rd
Attention all Long Course Swimmers:
Practice on Friday, July 3 will be for National, Senior and Gold groups only, in the morning at Clement Circle. There will be no practice at the YMCA in the evening for any groups.

There will be no practices at Clement Circle on Friday, July 31, 2009.

FFYS has 6 rooms with 2 double beds reserved at the Comfort Inn kalamazoo for 6/19 and 20. The hotel is all nonsmoking. The best price I could get is $117. per night which does include breakfast. Call them to reserve your room from the FFYS block.

GLA LC 2009 Meet Info
The below meet has been added to our summer long course schedule. Entries are due for the GLA meet on Monday, May 25 by 8:00 pm to the FFYSMEET@YAHOO.COM email address. The GLA meet will be held in Kalamazoo June 19-21. I have contacted their entry chair and the meet is filling fast, so I can’t guarantee our entries will be accepted.

CUDA LC 2009 Meet Info
The below meet has been added to our summer long course schedule. Entries are due for the CUDA meet on Wednesday, May 27 by 8:00 pm to the FFYSMEET@YAHOO.COM email address. The CUDA meet will be held June 26-28.

Long Course Meet Closures
Stingray Families I’m very sorry to tell you that we have been closed out of the OLY and DRD long course meets. I realize that many of you are very frustrated to hear this, believe me, I am also very upset about this. Please know that I sent in our OLY entry on the first day that entries were accepted, but their meet closed out at 12:02 am on the day they started accepting entries. The DRD meet has never closed out before and that entry was sent in more than 2 weeks before their deadline, so I was again surprised and upset to find out that we didn’t get in that meet either.
The Club Wolverine meet was partially closed out, but most of our entries were accepted. Please check the attached entry report if you planned on attending that meet and let me know if you decide not to attend.
Rich is currently trying to find other meets we can enter. Please be very prompt with your entries for the July 10-12 BAYS meet (Entries are due June 1) and the July 17-19 CW meet (Entries are due May 27). I will be sending in our entries at midnight on the day they begin accepting them.
Again I am very sorry for any frustration and inconvenience this has caused.

Different Strokes - Team Appreciation Day
Different Strokes is offering FFYS a Team Appreciation day on May 30th from 10am-5pm. What this will be is a "team day", where any member from FFYS can come into the store and purchase merchandise for team price (which is usually 20-25% off, depending on the item). FFYS will get a commission check for 10% of total sales. Please come out, pick up some great deals and support the Stingrays!

Spring Tune-Up
Spring Tune-Up sessions will be held from April 27th-June 12th at Farmington HS, North Farmington HS, and the YMCA.
- Senior: M W 4-6 p.m. at North; T R F 4-6 p.m. at Farmington
- Gold: M W 5:30-7 p.m. at North; T R F 5:30-7 p.m. at Farmington
- Silver: M W 6-7 p.m. at North; T R F 6-7 p.m. at Farmington
- Bronze: M W F 7-8 p.m. at YMCA
- Miniray: M W F 6:20-7 p.m. at YMCA
There will be no FFYS practices on Monday, May 25 (Memorial Day).
