If you have already attended your last swim meet competition, congrats on a terrific year and we hope to see you in the spring!

If you are continuing on to swim at either 12 and Under States, Y Zones or Y Nationals there is still practice!

Starting today, Monday, March 2 thru Thursday March 19th follow the normal Senior and Gold practice schedules. There are no practices at all for Silver, Bronze or Miniray. If you are in Silver group and are attending either the 12 and Under State Meet and/or Y zones simply follow the Gold group practice schedule.

Starting Monday, March 23 thru Friday April 3rd the Y National team will be the only ones practicing. The schedule will be M-F 4-6 p.m. at Farmington High School. There will also be one Sunday practice (3/29) from 8-10 a.m. at the YMCA. Y National itinerary will be given out tonight at the meeting.

Below is the YMCA Zone Championship swim meet information.   This meet will be held Friday March 20 – Sunday March 22.  All swimmers who have qualified for this meet are expected to enter.  An eligibility report is also attached to this email.  Entries are due to FFYSMEET@YAHOO.COM Monday, March 9, by 8:00 pm.

Below is the Y State swim meet information.   This meet will be held February 28 and March 1.  This is a YMCA championship meet.  Participants must have swum in 3 YMCA meets during the season and have met the Y State qualifying times.   Qualifying times are in the attached document. Entries are due to FFYSMEET@YAHOO.COM Monday, Feb 9, by 8:00 pm.

Please note that the Jr. Olympic meet will be held the same weekend.  If swimmers have qualifying times for the Y State meet, they should attend this meet and only attend JO’s on the day they do not swim at Y States.

Based on the entries received, we are roughly estimating start times for the time trial sessions. This may be helpful for those swimmers who will be attending a session other than their scheduled session just for time trials.

Below is the Michigan 12 and Under State swim meet information.   This meet will be held March 6-8.  Swimmers must have Q1 or State qualifying times in order to enter this meet.  Entries are due to FFYSMEET@YAHOO.COM Monday, Feb. 16, by 8:00 pm.  Swimmers who receive qualifying times at the District, Y State or JO meet may submit entries to the ffysmeet@yahoo.com immediately following the meet the qualifying time was reached at..

Attention:

Please be reminded about entrance into the Aquatic center for the weekend will be in the rear of the Athletic center. Also, please remember that parking on Friday and Saturday will be in the parking structure and the lot adjacent to the parking structure (#25) in the lot next to Pawley hall. All drop off should be done in the front circle and athletes and spectators will then follow the sidewalk around to the rear of the building. There is handicapped parking in the front circle area as well. There will be signs that will direct all those involved in the swim meet. Parking will be an issue Saturday and please plan accordingly.

Also, check-in for the 11-12 and 10 & under 500's closes at 6:30 pm. The 11-12 500 is scheduled to begin at 7:35 pm. Please plan accordingly.

OLY Team Management

Below is the OLY Michigan Open swim meet information.   This meet will be held February 6-8.  Swimmers must have achieved “A” qualifying times in order to swim in this meet.  A times are listed in the entry packet.  Entries are due to FFYSMEET@YAHOO.COM Sunday, Jan. 11, by 8:00 pm.

Below is the Y State 8 and Under swim meet information.   This meet will be held Sunday, February 22.  All 8 and Under swimmers are eligible for this meet provided they meet the 3 YMCA meet minimum for the season.  This is a wonderful meet for our young swimmers as events are broken down by age, so 6 year olds swim only against 6 year olds, etc…  Entries are due to FFYSMEET@YAHOO.COM Wednesday, Feb. 4, by 8:00 pm.
